5 Stars For J.R. Ward's Contribution...The other stories though an okay read, paled in comparison to Ward's entry. Even if you're not a fan of her work, it's a worthwhile read and worth the price of the book alone. Permalink | Book Info | Book Reviews | Buy Book | Update My Log

AlaskaThis is one of the hardest to read books I have ever attempted. I could only read 2 or 3 pages at a time. I was so bored. I finally finished it. Hooray! Permalink | Book Info | Book Reviews | Buy Book | Update My Log

Mixed feelingsI wasn't so much a fan of this book until it was pretty far along. Character development was more pronounced than the first book, but once developed, the character still seem unreal. Personal preoccupations remain the same within this book from beginning to end, over the course of a couple of years, although the same characters' desires have changed radically over the five years between this book and the first - yet the power-mad villain remains power-mad and villainous in exactly the same way. The Fiery CrossThis finishes the 6 books in the Outlander series. I really enjoyed the look at the 1700's, the love story between Claire and Jamies and all the characters included in the stories. Permalink | Book Info | Book Reviews | Buy Book | Update My Log

Too much at once...For the first time in a very long time I found myself skipping pages and wishing the book would end sooner than later. There was too much going on (most eluded to that I had as a reader was not familiar with & this is supposed to be the first book in the series), too many characters whose backgrounds kept getting lost in the fray and not enough to keep my attention. It was only my stubbornness in not stopping a book until it's end that kept me going. I was really disappointed especially after these books came highly recommended. I think I was spoilt by the Women of the Otherworld series. Maybe one day I'll come back to this and try again - there could be something here. Who knows?
